solstice is going to take place in Northern Hemisphere, while winter solstice
in Southern Hemisphere. This happens between 20 to 23 june every year. Earth rotates around sun and spins on its axis, at some degree it aligns up in such a way that sun directly hits earth. Thus the summer starts. The warm day on the hemisphere start from solstice.
The celebrations of summer solstice are deeply ingrained in our culture. Our ancestors praised sun on the occasion. So this day has a great importance. we celebrate it with full zeal and zest. The celebrations are mixture of old and new ways.
